The huge front façade and wing walls of the Governor General’s official residence were completely cleaned and repointed. Selective demolition and reconstruction was carried out using new stone, and seismic anchors were installed.
Nearly every form of restoration intervention was utilized on this project. In addition, we had to manufacture our own chisels to properly match the century old tool marks on the original stone to the new stones cut and supplied by our forces.
